all emails sent to a btinternet email account from a specific domain are being blocked
I suspect the IP address or mail server address has been flaged as a spam source
How can this be fixed / have this mail server unvlocked?
Log onto your BTMail account using a browser, not an email client/app, and then click on your username at the right hand side. Select "Settings" then go to the left hand side and select "Mail". Scroll down and click on "Blocked Senders". Scroll down the list until you find the one you want to unblock and select it. Click on "delete".
Problem is, it's my emails being blocked. I don't have an account with BT. My recipients aren't savvy enough to do what you say. There are dozens who do and have no idea they aren't receiving emails from our domain. It's a retired persons organisation
Plus, there are multiple sender's as well. The mail server or it's up is blocked for all btinternet customers
Several things to check:
Do you have a valid SPF, DKIM signature and DMARC policy?
Are you on any spam or blocklists
Use https://mxtoolbox.com/emailhealth to help check
If all above is ok then follow guidance here: https://www.bt.com/help/email/fix-a-problem/sending-or-receiving-email/bt-email---best-practices-for...
Thanks. We have all the configurations correct. I don't think it's BT's spam filter. It's that my sending domain is black listed. And as such all emails are rejected automatically. I'll post the reply BT generates. Next
I can't post the actual error codes as my server only keeps them for 5 days. But it was as below.
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [199.231.163.106] weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3150)
199.231.163.106 is my mail server IP (dallas201.serverquality.com)
My response was because neither the post heading or your post stated it was a/your domain that was being blocked to multiple BT email addresses.
I read it as being a/one BT email address was blocking a domain.
You should contact the BT Postmaster who should be able to help.
