I want to put an excel file into the main text area of an email.
My excel file consists of a shaded background and coloured font.
I select the background area using mouse and copy this using ^c
I then goto my email and 'compose'. Position cursor in text area & paste using ^v
I would expect this text to be the shaded background & coloured font.
Instead I get the text in black and no background.
The exercise does work if I use 'attach file'.
Have you selected to compose in rich text rather than plain text?
RICH appears to be the default. However I explicitly selected RCH with same result
Unfortunately this problem has not been resolved.
This problem did not occur when I used BT Yahoo MAIL. It involves HTML data consisting of coloured text and also background colour within excel
My complete problem:-
I get some data from London Stock Exchange which appears as HTML. I then put this into my own EXCEL sheet.
I then want to copy part of this spreadsheet into the BT MAIL.
There seems to be more than one problem! .. HTML ....Coloured text ..... background
Using BT yahoo MAIL I had to involve copy from EXCEL to WORD before copy into MAIL ....for some unknown reason. I did not report this to anyone.
I have also got a completely different occurrence when I get 'mso-fareast-font-family' text appearing
