Can anyone explain why, when opening btinternet email on a Sony laptop, all the emails in my inbox shown on Apple devices disappear?
If I haven't opened emails for a few days and access from iPhone/Mac/ipad, there can be a number of emails in the inbox. As soon as I access email from my laptop however, they all disappear from the iOS devices and the inbox is empty.

I suspect you have configured your mail account on the laptop as a POP3 account rather than IMAP and haven't ticked the box to leave a copy of the message on the server. POP3 downloads the email and then deletes it from the mail server leaving it inaccessible to your other devices which are presumably configured as IMAP.
Thanks for your response. I’m out at present but will look at settings when I get back and let you know if it resolves the problem.
