Re: email printing problems

You just open Internet Explorer 9 in the normal way after you have done the reset.

I will try the reset of IE9 but how do you restart IE once completed

You're better off sticking with firefox, it's a much better browser.

Re: email printing problems

Looking for suggestions for the following problem. There are at least two other forum members with the same problem.

BTYahoo webmail emails won't print or show up in print preview in Internet Explorer 9 or 10

It shows/prints the headers and footer of the whole web page but not the contents of the email or anything else that is contained within the email window within the web page.

This does not happen on any other web site I have checked that has a window within the web page nor does it happen with BTYahoo in Firefox.

I have tried resetting Internet Explorer, disabling add ons, using compatibility mode, which when the email is opened and print preview is selected flashes up "Internet Explorer has stopped working".

I have tried it in private browsing and with enable protected mode turned off and the problems is still there.

It happens with Yahoo so it is making me think it is a BT/Yahoo email webpage problem rather than a IE problem but any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: email printing problems

Think I've found the problem. It would appear to be the pop up blocker is causing the problem.

Start Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Pop up blocker > Pop up Blocker Settings > enter mail.yahoo.com in the address of web sites to allow box. Click Add then exit and try printing.

Re: email printing problems

Higg30340,
Tried all that but still the same "Int Exp has Stopped Working" and no text in the print preview screen only header and footer. I am work for a few hours and will not be able to respond until later in the day should you have any other suggestions.

Re: email printing problems

The above fix worked for me on both my laptop and PC. I can now print without problem. I am at a loss for other ideas at the moment but if I come up with any I'll get back to you.

EDIT: Try turning the pop up blocker off all together and see if that helps. Also don't use print preview, use the print command from with in the email page at the action button.

Re: email printing problems

I have tried the things you have suggested including BT Desktop Help maintenance but still the same problem regarding printing but the "Int Exp has stopped working" is not showing. Firefox is working but on a dual page email message it only prints out the first page. In print preview (Firefox) it only shows page 1of1 when there are clearly more pages to print. I appreciate what you are doing for me but the matter is very frustrating. Do you think i should get a specialist computer technician in to try and solve this problem.

Re: email printing problems

It won't be causing this problem but I would recommend you remove BTDesktop Help. It can cause more problems than it solves and is not needed on your computer to connect to the Internet of for anything else.

It is upto you about getting a computer technician in. If you do make sure its a "no fix no fee" deal just in case he/she can't find the solution.

You could always download and use an email client such as Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird. By doing that the emails will be downloaded onto your computer and then they will print without problem. That is the system that I use and would recommend.

Re: email printing problems

If others have had the same problem and I can print stuff other than email, is it wrong to think, as you suggested earlier that it is a BT system problem in which case should i talk to their help desk to try and relove this problem remotely
