Twice today I have been locked out of my email account(Outlook and Web mail) and had to contact the help desk. Both times there was a suggestion that I should be able to reset my password by responding to an email. However not able to collect emails so could not.
There was a suggestion that had I registered a mobile I would have got an sms that would have allowed me to reset password.
How do I register for this service and if registered check what mobile number is shown?
I looked at my bt account details and under address saw a space for a phone number but assumed this was for a landline number.

I have had the same problems for months. when I click on"solutions" it goes nowhere?
At the moment my solution is to go to the yahoo.co.uk log in page and rather than log in with my yahoo address log in from there with my BT address - so far - touch wood - this works. The so called BT help links were rubbish.
thanks Suzanne4. I have tried that and it works. Now to get outlook working. What a farce!
However sooner or later I understand that BT & yahoo will part company and what to do then - heaven only knows - ....
