Re: redirecting email

Do you think it is a coincidence that your "unread" folder disappeared at the same time as you received an email from BT welcoming you to the BTMail system which does not have an "unread" folder?

The original migration from BTYahoo to BTMail was in 2014 and stopped shortly after it started.

There has been no migration since then and no migration in the last year or so but there was a change to the look of the BTYahoo email webpage and users who used the Yahoo log on page to access their BTYahoo email account were stopped from accessing it that way and instead had to use the correct BT logon page.

As per the earlier link I posted, a migration of existing BTYahoo email accounts was started at the beginning of this year and is an ongoing process. As you have pointed out, you are now on the new BTMail system as evidenced by the email you received on 14th April 2020.

If you had an "unread" folder you were previously on the BTYahoo system.

If you no longer have the "unread" folder and can no longer see Yahoo anywhere on the webpage when you logon to your email account you are now on the new BTMail system as per the email you received.

As has been repeatedly explained, you do not have and can not have the "unread" folder on BTMail and you can not go back to the BTYahoo system.

Can you still auto forward mail ?

Yes but it will only work for as long as your BT email account is either part of a BT Broadband package or being paid for via a BT Premium email account.

If you had forwarding set up when you were on the BTYahoo email system you may have to set it up again now that you have been migrated to to the BTMail system.

There is no MAY about it. You MUST reset the auto forward if needed. The YAHOO to BT transfer seems to not carry over the previous setting.
