I am trying to set up bt mail on my Samsung phone. I have used the wizard option and the and manual option
but I keep getting this message.
couldn't verify account
mailbtinternet.com isn't responding you can continue the set up process,
but won't be able to send or receive emails until your account has been verified.
All the server details are correct both imap and pop but I went into bt mail and I cant find
which one bt mail is using.

Is that a just a typo in this post, the mail server is mail.btinternet.com.
You can only choose either IMAP or POP3 you can't enter both, its your choice which you use. IMAP keeps the mail on the server and syncs between devices and POP3 keeps it on your device and won't sync between devices.
so where do i fined the settings in my bt mail account , and bt mail is not working on my ipad now.

It is you who decides whether to use IMAP or POP3.
If your iPad email has just stopped working for no apparent reason, ie you have not changed your email password, you should not make any changes on the iPad as the problem may resolve its self.
I have sorted the issue out, I changed my email and my bt password (same one) by using my
laptop , before I was using my I pad . so I have got my bt mail working on my ipad
and my android phone thanks for your help
