I am not at all "computer-literate", so all that DMARC, SPF and DKIM went straight over my head. But you're telling me that this spammer is sending emails from the pyke-leads website, but he can make them appear to come from a .gov.uk address? I have blocked the sender as I did not want to block the domain (bis.gov.uk) in case it would block genuine emails from a government address. Can I safely block the domain bis.gov.uk? Will that definitely NOT block emails from any genuine .gov.uk ? Will it actually do any good to block the domain if the spammer can can change his (false) email address at a whim? I went for years getting hardly any spam, but lately I've been getting, I should guess, a couple a week. I am led to believe that I should be grateful as this is much less than many people get. I am grateful that BT finds them and puts them in the Spam box, but I feel that I have to check them as there are often genuine emails there from people I know who have sent me emails before. Of course, I know that anything from Martin Lewis, McAfee, UPS, and many others is spam. But why don't they make their email appear to come from the real Martin Lewis, the real McAfee and the real UPS? I thought I was identifying spam emails by hovering the cursor over the 'Sender' (e.g. Martin Lewis), and revealing the "true" source of the email e.g. jack.glossop at bis.gov.uk. Since that address has nothing to do with moneysavingexpert I know for certain that it's spam, and obviously the subject being crypto currency is something I'd never click on or reply to. Can somebody send an email to pyle-leads.website to blow up his computer?
