unable to view attachments prior to sending email

(1) received email from BT that my email is updated and it will bring a new experience.

(2)  I am concerned and frustrated that I am now unable to view attachments prior to sending out emails.  This is a grave concern as if I am sending sensitive documents, I usually preview my attachments.  Now although I CAN SEE THE ATTACHMENT ICON, there is a grey area and I am unable to click TO PREVIEW.

(3)  This is causing me grave concerns.  I have phoned BT a few times and the Indian colleagues said they would send a message to the IT team but no one has responsed

(4)  I then send an online message and was informed that someone would contact me within 7 days.  No one has contacted me.

(5)  I pay my bills on time and have been with BT for a number of years.  Now, I feel that BT is letting me down as they are ignoring this issue.

Apart from asking again and again, the only option in future if no one contacts me would be to go to the media.

Not ideal, but there is a workaround.

Before sending, save the email as a draft and close it. Re-open from the draft folder and the attachment can be viewed.

Or better still use an email client instead of webmail.

It was only previously possible for BTYahoo customers in any case, it is not possible for current BTMail customers.

Yes I tried the attachment as a draft form.  Then checked it in draft form and was able to see the attachment.

However, when you continue to compose the email, you are unable to see the attachment.

So it looks like BT has made attachments to be seen in draft form and not in the email.

What a waste of time.  I wonder whether the BT management are aware of this.  Surely, it can be easily rectified by IT SPECIALISTS.

Just to let you know that with hotmail and gmail, you can view the attachment before sending emails.  You do not have to save it on draft mode and then check it.

Looks like going backwards instead of forwards.

concerned that BT has not looked into this.  Well, I am still awaiting BT to reply to this issue.

Thank you but surely it is important to view any attachments prior to sending an email with an attachment?

I was always informed by my manager to view any attachment I sent out to colleagues prior to sending them out.

It is somewhat risky in my opinion if you cannot view the attachments.

Don't add your attachment until you are ready to send. Once ready open what you want to attach and after confirming that it is correct drag it into the attachment field. By doing that you will know for sure what you have attached.
