why has the "keep me logged in to BT email disappeared

Every time I access BT email now I have to log in. Why can't we have the "keep me logged in" function anymore???

It has been removed by BT and there is no indication that it will be returned.

They have not stated why but it is most likely a security issue because it is not a great idea to have your email account constantly logged on leaving an open connection that could be exploited.

this is helpful for my recent query about why I am timed out after short periods of inactivity (say 10 minutes).

i get the security point but not sure that applies to my logging in from a private laptop?

anyway, it would be nice to have the chance to opt to stay logged in, unless there really is a security threat in personal use of a private laptop.

The security threat is an open login on the web server, not on your personal devices.

There is a danger to everybody USING the internet. There's also a danger in getting up in the morning. This will completely ruin on-line reading of emails. We will be forced to use email clients!

Far from ruining reading of emails, by using a mail client it will improve the whole experience.
