BT: "We're aware that some BT email customers are unable to access their email. We are investigating the cause of this and as an alternative, impacted customers can switch off wifi and use mobile data to access their email. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused."

Yes, as soon as I switched off my home WiFi and used mobile data on my phone, all my emails for today came through immediately. So BT email is not enabling access via their broadband service. I don't understand this but let's hope BT fixes it without their usual long delay.

No, Ali, I can't log in to BT mail using a web browser.  Using Firefox the logon screen isn't reached. Displays the message... "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. We can’t connect to the server at email.bt.com."

OK, outages happen and I'm glad to know it isn't just me but if this becomes a long term issue, and it has already been seven hours since the first reports on Downdetector , what do you think the chances are of BT knocking something off their next monthly bill?  You know, the bill that we receive each month for an email service. Yeah, that's right, zero chance.

Go on BT, if anyone there even bothers to read this forum or even cares, prove me wrong and compensate your customers for the inconvenience. Oh, and once you isolate and fix the cause, make sure that it can't happen again, please.
