Calendar time issue, still

I have a persistent problem with the time zone in my Calendar.

Under Locale, my time is set to GMT +1. I have just accepted a Teams meeting which has time as follows:

Time
15:00 - 16:00 [GMT +01:00] Europe/London
Location
Microsoft Teams Meeting

and this shows in my calendar as starting at 16.00.

Switching the Locale to 'current location' (or whatever it is called) makes no difference. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Hi there @Cromag38

Thanks for coming back to the community 🙂

How do you access the BT Email account, is this using webmail, the BT Email app or a third party client?

What device are you using?

Speak to you soon.

Leanne.

Re: Calendar time issue, still

Thanks for replying. So I access it via Chrome, therefore webmail. Do you think that if i download the BT app to my Apple Mac it might make a difference?

Hi @Cromag38

Thanks for coming back to me.

It might be worth a try to see if this happens or you could you try a different browser?

Let me know how it goes.

Leanne.

Re: Calendar time issue, still

I can't download the BT Email app to my Mac, as it says it will only be supported for ipad or 'unmodified' (= not updated?) versions of IOS. Really?

Re: Calendar time issue, still

You make a fair point about switching browser, but I am unkeen to have to move from one browser to another all the time just to check my BT emails

Hi @Cromag38

Information on compatible devices for the BT Email app can be found here Download, setup and use the BT Email app

Could you clear cookies and cache from the browser and log back in again to see is the calendar time changes?

Leanne 🙂

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue even though bt claim not to have seen it before. Did you manage to resolve it.

Re: Calendar time issue, still

No. I have checked that the various time settings across my details are all as I would wish, but Teams calendar invites always get recorded at the wrong time - just on my system! So while the Teams confirmatory email to me says the wrong time, if I reply to the sender they will see the right time (and wonder if Im going mad).

I mentor a third year Computer Science undergrad and he can't understand it

Re: Calendar time issue, still

That's frustrating. I have a feeling that something similar happened a few years ago and it was linked to the clocks changing. Maybe your mentee could have a look at this?
I have asked BT to refer the issue to their tech support, something I suspect you have already done.
