Can't access emails on my Chromebook

I am having problems accessing my email account on my Chromebook, spent nearly all day yesterday "talking" to someone and it's still not resolved.  I am able to get onto my account on BT email app and on another Chromebook, but when trying to access on my usual Chromebook, I get what looks like an "old" login page, which doesn't stay on long enough to enter details, and a constant loop.  If I try to check whether there is a general problem and use the BT check connection page, it says "this service is not available".  Is there a general problem or just something specific to my Chromebook? I have tried clearing the browsing data and cookies but hasn't helped, any suggestions?

It's not much help to you but I am constantly (I mean over many months) having email access issues on my MacBook air.  It starts loading the  email login page then loads the email help page.  Why does it ALWAYS assume the problem is at my end, I don't need help I just need it to load the email login page.  I can access it from Safari on my iPhone, I have closed Safari down on my MacBook and restarted but the problem persists,  After many months I know that the problem will disappear in an hour or two (I assume after someone at BT has noticed and done something about it) but it keeps recurring.

Thanks for this, it is very frustrating,I seem to have more problems since BT moved my account to EE, who manage the broadband, but my email is still with BT,and the "Help" desk keep asking me why I'm contacting BT, but I've managed to get it working again now myself by clearing the cache and cookies, so all good until next time!!
