Closing my dad's account

Hello my dad is 76 and been diagnosed with alzheimers and is now in a care home my mum passed away 6 years ago there is no power of attorney in place as it all happened quickly with my dad and BT wont let me close his landline he was living in a council house and the house is been given back in a couple of weeks. My point is that he is still getting charged for a house he nolonger lives in and a service he nolonger needs I've tried phoning and they never seem to help me I'm already going through alot at the moment with my husband's health and trying to sort my dad out at the same time 

I just want the account closed so his not paying for something his not using

this is a customer help customer forum and your post does not go to BT .  I have asked forum mods who are BT employees to see if they can help and they will post here

Obviously there is a problem with no POA
