I primarily use my BT email on my iPhone and sitting in a theatre on 4th Sept before I switched my phone off I checked my email inbox only to see all my accumulated emails in my inbox disappear one by one in front of my eyes. On restarting my phone later they had all gone (only my folders and content were still present and my sent/trash/spam) Logging on to my laptop has not resolved the issue or found the missing emails. I have also had a new iPhone so set everything anew and no historical emails from my inbox reappeared or can be found anywhere. I am livid! Yes, I should have filed them but how can they just disappeared in that way.. what a service or rather what NOT a service!
Morning @JennyG1
Thanks for coming to the community.
Could I just check, were you using the iPhone at the time and could have deleted the emails by accident?
The Delete and recover emails in Mail on iPhone – Apple Support (UK) page has advice on recovering deleted emails, have you tried these steps?
Thanks.
Leanne.
Yes I was using IPhone and I have tried those steps - also been into iCloud account - no luck! I literally sat and watched them disappear from my screen at the time.. panic stricken and they have been totally unrecoverable. Not a great experience!
Thanks for coming back to us @JennyG1
I have asked the email team to take a look at this for you and will come back you once I have some further information 🙂
Leanne.
Thank you - much appreciated.
Morning @JennyG1
I've had a response from the team now and have dropped you a private message to help you further 🙂
Leanne.
This has also just happened to me! On the iPhone, emails just disappeared in front of my eyes! Very concerning. Now I only have emails as far back as Sunday but nothing before.
Could you send me the solution too? Thank you,
H
Hi @hmrdent
I'll ask the email team to double check this for you, and I'll let you know once I have more information.
