Hi, Did you find a solution? if so could you let me know as I have exactly the same problem it has been fine for years and years but this week the problem has appeared so I cannot distinguish read and unread emails.

Just to be sure, is it BT Webmail that you're experiencing this issue with?
If it is, can you give this a try from a different browser to see if you're experiencing the same on there?

Yes it is BT Webmail.
I am using a MacBook so I think I have to use Safari.
I will try it from a Windows PC later and get back to you.
