Give BTInternet email to a ee account

Go to solution

Hope someone can help.

On my BT account, I have an email address that my dad uses. He's signed up now for broadband with ee.

Is there a way to give him the email account and will he still have premium mail or would it revert to the free webmail only?

Many thanks in advance!

As you haven't gifted the email to him so far, why do you think it is necessary to do so now?

Just leave things as they are. There are no great advantages to gifting an address.

I'm running down my BT contract. They don't offer full fiber to my property so I'll be leaving them. I can live with webmail but not sure my dad will cope lol

As a new EE customer rather than migrating from BT, he won't be able to keep the address as Standard Mail. I'm not even sure there would be a facility to gift it in any case.

Your alternatives are to teach him how to use webmail or pay £7.50/m for Premium Mail when you leave BT.

Ah I was worried that would be the case. Thanks for taking the time to respond
