Log onto your MyBT and go to "Your Details" then scroll down to 2FA and click on "Your Passcode settings" then in the "Manage your 2FA" section click "switch it off".

The only option I get is to change the mobile number I get sent the code. No option to turn the thing off.  At least to turn it off on my home PC. Just a frustrating waste of time...Every day!!!

You are reading a post that is four years old which at that time you could turn 2FA off.

You now can not turn it off.

Use an email client or email app and you won't be subjected to 2FA.

This is exactly what happens when people don't read the forum and then blindly post a question that has been answered multiple upon multiple times.

And to be fair, once again, in this instance of thread resurrection, it is the forums fault for not closing threads after six months of no activity on a thread. Most other forums appear to manage it.

Locking threads has been suggested many times in the past but for various reasons it has not and most likely will not be implemented.

To be fair, the forum, imho, is in requirement of a significant revamp. I appreciate some may not like the look of the EE forum, after all, nothing is perfect, but the forum designers probably ought to have a rethink.

Like a lot of things BT, it appears to be stuck in a bit of a time warp and its desire to sort out even problems like 2FA which is considerably more important, seems to be taking far too long for company of BT's size and global reach.
