My BT email started playing up yesterday with no access on my iPhone, iPad or laptop. It was resolved through a change of password yesterday but it stopped agin today. Upon speaking to a BT email agent I was told that the service no longer supported 3rd party software. It is only compatible with BT Mail App. And was told that If I wanted to carry on using Apple of Microsoft systems I had to upgrade my email to Premium and pay £7.50 a month. I
This is unacceptable and underhand in my view.
Ae you currently a BT broadband customer?
What you were told by the BT Customer Service rep was not correct if you are a BT Broadband customer.
If you are no longer a BT Broadband customer or a BT Premium email account holder your BTMail email account may have been downgraded to a BTMail Basic account which can not be used with an email client or an email app such as those on mobile devices. It can only be used with a web browser.
