can anyone help please - I need to change my btconnect.com email password.
I am logged into my email on my phone via the outlook and there doesn’t seem to be any options in settings etc to change my password.
When I try to login via a browser - google / chrome etc - I can’t because I don’t know the password. If I try to reset the password it says my administrator hasn’t set the account up to allow me to do the password reset and I don’t have an administrator to contact.
I have tried to do a chat with bt and an agent tried to help but we couldn’t change the password, this was on 30/7/25 and he said he had to refer it to the IT Team and he would raise a ticket - I’ve not heard anything since.
I am concerned that my account is compromised and really would like to change the password and don’t want to use the log all devices out option until I either know my password or am able to reset it.

are you a BT business user as btconnect email is associated with bt business? if so then you need to post here as this forum is for residential customers

The email address was set up originally when we had a business account but we don’t have it anymore and our account manager said we could retain our email addresses. Would that make me a business or residential user?
BT.connect addresses aren't available to residential customers.
The account manager gave you wrong information.
