Retaining Email Addresses

Does any one know If you leave BT/EE how many Email addresses you can actually take with you? As I remember something about the government saying you were to be allowed to keep at least one.  Is it more?

You keep all the BTMail addresses that you already have.

They will be downgraded to a BTMail Basic account that can only be used with web browsers and not with email apps or email clients. If you want that function to remain you would need to pay £7.50 per month for a BT Premium email account.
