LOL! I hear you Bluemoon1. I could resell the prizes and pay for ('proper') email - as suggested by Kimberlin.

@Mamyrie09 I have noticed that the level of spam being received since the BT Email problem earlier this week has dropped to Zero. Seems odd that they have suddenly stopped. Unless BT Have done something their end.

Hope I haven't spoken too early. 🤞

You didn't say whether they were simply appearing in your spam folder. If not, then they could now well be ending up there. Spam filters do catch up until the next set of spammers are able to get their junk through. It'll always be a catchup excercise.

Sometimes spammers do simply give up their spam runs and restart at a future date with a new set of "items".

Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately the volume still persists at my end.

Re: Sudden Increase in Spam

Of course the amount of spam one gets can depend entirely on which email provider one uses. If people choose to use a free email provider, then they of course also should be aware that the provider may not necessarily be up to the job of ensuring a 'spam free' experience. Whilst that might seem unattainable to some, it is actually quite achievable without having to sit down and set up various ways of blocking and filtering. That is of course where paid subcription email comes into it's own, they get paid to stop carp coming through and provide a great ad free service.

Whether one chooses to accept it or not, take a good look through this Community forum and read the multiple threads about BT email and make up your own mind about whether the service is acceptable. Maybe it is for a 'free' offering. I'll stick to my paid subcription spam free 99.9 percent of the time email service.

@Mamyrie09  I knew it wouldn't last,  12 spam email today... One from "BT" saying my email account has been closed, if it's been closed why are they sending me a email😁. No I don't pay so if they want to close it crack on then.

Stop torturing yourself and get a proper email account 🤣

For the price of 4 pints and a kebab on a Saturday night, you can get spam free, ad free secure email without the hassle.

LOL! Makes sense. It's just the pollarva of changing everything.

I shall be exploring what's out there, in terms of service providers.

@Kimberlin is that. £ 30 a year  then ( 4x6 pints 6£. Kebab).or every month.

 I haven't got long to go on my BT account so I will look at it when I change broadband supplier.
