Fo r the last few weeks I’ve been unable to send emails from my IPad. I can from my phone and the PC. The advice I’ve been researching suggests deleting the app and re installing? However, I get the warning that I will loose all my data . . . .does that mean I loose all my emails, past and present?

If your email account is set up as IMAP, you won't lose anything.

In the settings of your email app.
Do all your devices synchronise mail? If so, they will be set up as IMAP.
