Can anyone help an octogenerian, please? What is the difference between an answerphone, call minder and the 1571 service, other than the price?   Answerphone free with phone, callminder £ 6.50 p.m.,  1571 service £3.50 p.m.   only get gobbledygook from operators

If you have a phone which can answer and record messages (answerphone), then that is the cheapest and simplest way to handle missed calls.

Which phone is it?

If its a BT branded phone, and if you need help with it, then please ask here.

Yes, BT call blocker, no No shown think 4600 or something! Came with 1571 tied in just trying to get rid of it, if I don’t need it! Step by step....

You should be able to remove the 1571, by  going to this link Change your calling features

then deselect answer 1571, and progress the order. Try that and see how you get on. If you need more help, I can ask a moderator.
