BT Advanced Digital Phone / Voicemail

I’ve just been converted over to digital and as such received a Advanced digital handset. Whilst I now have the BT Voicemail for free as part of the deal, I’d like to be able to listen I the callers leaving messages real time like is used to do (call it call screening). Is this possible? The service at the moment doesn’t feel really any further forward than the last 20 years with callers being diverted to the BT VM services after 20 seconds or so.

If you go to mybt and  manage digital voice  mail  to long about 30 secs  before cuts in   

You also get ability to make or receive 2 calls on different handsets at the same time 

Can't find and call screening for free
