I see there are a few other people complaining of this.
I also have the BT Premium phone, with the exact same issue, infact I have 2 brand new units with the same issue.
I purchased from Amazon, and have spoken with Amazon and BT support, both assumed the first unit was faulty so I requested a replacement and have a brand new replacement which is doing exactly the same thing. 2 bleeping sounds similar to when the base first powers on, which sound normally hours apart.
There are no messages, all alerts are switched off.
I was going to install the base in the bedroom but cannot as sounds off when it feels like it and will be like an alarm clock.
Highly intermittent on both units, phone seems to otherwise work perfectly, batteries are fine, holds charge for a long time.
Tried 2 handsets and bases, 2 power supplies, tried in 2 different power sockets, 2 different phone leads, both with the same issue.
Can someone help please, I like the phone but this issue is driving me insane.
Hi @Clarmrrsn welcome to the forum and sorry you have a problem with the replacement Premium Phone. You would be best to call the product helpline on 0800 145 6789 as they will be best placed to help you with this.
Thanks for your reply
To be honest, I was hoping someone else has found the reason for thsi, I will give them another call tomorrow but found that the BT helpdesk knew nothing about why the first handset may be doing it, the girl I spoke to wanted to hear the beeping, but due to the fact that it is intermittent I cant exactly prompt the phone to do it.
She said that the only reason it would be beeping was due to a message, or batteries in the handset, I think we can safely eliminate both those as have had 2 brand new units, both times the batteries were charged over 16 hours.
I have since found that I suspect the base is intermittently powering off/on briefly after moving the unit and powering off, I think it is the same sound, but seems unlikely to be 2 faulty units on the bounce.
I know my mains is ok because I have a hifi, tv, virgin box, on the same ring circuit, and none of these display similar symptoms at the same time as the beeping, the hifi is used constantly with the tv and would experience drop outs if the power was cutting out.
Hi. Did you get this sorted out ? I have just got a brand new one and have the exact same problem. There is nothing wrong with the batteries and there are no messages. Like you it is driving me mad beeping every few minutes
Never got it resolved
Emailed BT support, they never responded, called BT support and was asked to let them hear the noise, which was impossible as it was intermittent. They were quite frankly no help at all.
I gave up, sent it back to Amazon and got a refund, changed to a Gigaset C570H, not as good call blocking features but it does not act like an alarm clock and is a superb phone.
I get the distinct feeling it is a design or software flaw and unfortunately BT dont seem that interested.
Good Luck 😳
Thank you for your prompt response. I rang BT support very helpful and suggested a couple of things to do but it didn’t resolve the problem. A few hours later it stopped. No idea why just keeping fingers crossed it stays OK
