BT Smart Hub 2 phone connection

Go to solution

Hi. Does anyone know what plug I need to connect my Landline phone cable into the Smart Hub 2 Green Phone socket as all my standard phone connectors are too large to fit into the socket. Thanks in advance

It is a standard BT431 socket. Exactly the same as your normal phone socket.

If your plug won't fit it must be non-standard.

Thanks for the information. I'll get a BT431 connector.

Why doesn’t your current phone have this anyway , presumably it’s connected to a standard telephone socket that accepts a BT431 plug.

All my phone cable connects must be at least 20 years old so obviously things get updated, Like I said I'll get the correct connector. Thanks for your replies.

They should still be BT431 however old they are.

Yes, all phones got BT431 plugs on their cables when PO Telephones (as they then were) discontinued hardwiring of phones, installed instead the master socket and allowed customers to buy their own phones. That must be around 40 years ago, so phones with any other sort of plug must be VERY old indeed.
