BT advanced digital phone with Alexa

Very new to BT advanced digital phone with Alexa.
Will I still be able to use my existing cordless home phone handsets if I connect a BT Alexa phone to my broadband?

Yes, by plugging your existing system into the Smart Hub 2 phone socket.

The Alexa phone connects directly to the Smart Hub 2 using DECT.

My current phone is connected via the hub already so it sounds as if i'm ok.
My contract was about to run out and I was offered the alexa phone which I accepted but didn't want to lose the use of my current multi handset phones.

so do you have DV already?  the openreach phone socket on wall is no longer able to make phone calls?
