BT2700 is not taking messages. Says mailbox full, but old messages deleted

I have a BT2700 cordless twin hand set phone. It has stopped taking messages although the answerphone is switched on. It tells callers the mailbox is full. I have deleted all my old messages (did this on both the handset and base unit), turned the phone off and back on again, but callers still get the same message. Am I missing something? Help!!

Hi @karen4550 welcome to the community and thanks for posting, I'm sorry to see you're having problems with the BT2700 answer phone.

The only other thing I could recommend is a reset to factory settings to see if that helps. Check out page 53 of the user manual for the steps to do that.
