Hi I bought a brand new BTXD56 phone to replace the same one that is in the kitchen however it has no dial tone or anything can someone help me please

Apologies for stating the obvious but did you remove the plastic tab on the back to activate the batteries? Once done, they need quite a while to charge up, possibly at least 12 hours.

Hi the new phone doesn’t work in the kitchen it has no dial tone at all but on the previous phone that was broke exactly the same phone was working perfectly.

Hi yes all plastic removed phone is lit up but with no actual dial tone and checked the connection ports and still no dial tone.

Sounds like the new phone might be faulty.  To check this out.

Have you tried the phone in the test socket ?

Have you tried the phone in another property in place of a known working phone ?

Yes we have done as much as possible. Typical of Currys

What if you try the "new" phone in the front room ?

hi sorry not been online been so busy etc however the phone line going through the house is dodgie going from middle room to the kitchen however is not effecting the internet or the main house socket .
