I have been a customer since November 2019, and have been in contact with BT previously about the issue but never received an update to say where it was at. My caller display is not working, I have tried this with 2 different types of cordless BT phones. I even bought a new one to see if that was any help but it wasn't.
I have dialled * # 234 # and it says this service is unavailable to me, although when I log into the BT app it says that caller display it is activated. I have tried my phone on another socket and the problem persists. Can anyone help on what I should do next? It is really frustrating.
The first step would be to make sure your phone number matches that which is shown on your BT account.
Dial 17070 and see if the number that is read back is correct.
If that is correct, then the next step would be to remove the caller display option from your account. Then wait 24 hours and add it again, wait 24 hours, then see if it works.
That will re-issue the command to the exchange, to enable caller display.
