Caller display on basic account

My father has a basic account but doesn’t receive caller display, I did speak to an assistant at BT and they said they had spoken to accounts and he wasn’t entitled to it on a basic account and would need to upgrade to a different account but on the BT website it states caller display is free in all accounts, any help would be appreciated

It has to be added to the account, its not enabled by default. There is no charge for this.

It can be added by logging into MyBT and using the "manage phone features" section.

There will be an option there to order your free caller display feature.

can you tell me if numbers need to be added into the contact section of the landline receiving calls  for the Caller Display to work i.e display one of the numbers entered into the receiving phone...or will the phone display every number that is calling it? thanks ...this is really important to me,,,,,,

Caller display displays every number that calls unless the caller has withheld their number.

Suspected scam calls may be presented as 'nuisance' rather than a number.

Íf caller display active then it will show number for calls being received and if in contact list probably put contact name to call as well
