Can Echo Dot answer landline calls?

Hi all

just received my new DV handset with built in Alexa. All works fine, handset linked to the Alexa app. I was hoping that I could answer incoming calls on my Echo Dot - does anyone know if this is possible and how you enable it?

I suspect not as the BT handset does not show up as an Alexa device - but would like some advice

Remember, the phones connect to the home hub using DECT, not Wi-Fi. The Echo Dot uses Wi-Fi, so I cannot see how it could receive calls.
