They are very old BT ones XD56. They have never worked very well. They are both ‘alive’ but neither of them has a dialling tone. I guess that’s because they aren’t plugged in to the Hub! I do hope so , for then we can get better ones. We haven’t opened our new phone yet as the new connector hasn’t arrived. Our old one phones in but we can’t phone out or use 1571which is logical, I suppose.
Thank you for all your advice. We are away for a week now and on our return will try , with help, to use what you have suggested . We will report back.
