does the  new hub show your phone number as active?  Have you factory reset the DV handsets and then tried to pair with new hub?

Yes shows as active not sure how to do the factory reset

You need to go to settings in phone and should find it.

I don't suppose that WPS has been disabled somehow? Check the hub's settings to check.  I had a similar problem and had to keep the WPS button pressed for about 20 seconds even when it started flashing.  I held the phone right next to the hub and it did work eventually.  You can plug her old phone (with conventional phone jack) into the hub at the back and it should still work.
