It's entirely up to you as to what you want. I was attempting to describe what Digital Voice is. There is no need for fixed corded phones unless you really want them. If you do, you will need an adapter for each location you require to have a phone.
The location of existing phone sockets is irrelevant, the adapter is to all intents and purposes a cordless phone with a socket for a corded phone and can be located anywhere.
