Digital voice from Telephone over internet

I currently have FTTP with no copper lines to a relatively new build home. Im on Halo 3 and have a BTSmarthub 2. My phone is currently plugged into Tel 1 on the modem, so phone over internet. I understand our current BT8500 will work if I plug it directly into the Smarthub DV port when we are switched over. Am I right in think is that all I need to do is unplug from Tel 1 on the modem and replug into the DV port on my Smart hub when we get told to switch. I have tried asking BT on 150 but they seem not  to be completely sure. Thanks in advance.

📢BT's Digital Voice service is BT Consumer's VoIP/Internet based fixed line voice service and is the replacement service to your current voice service you have today as the analogue PSTN phone network is closing by 2025. Between 2021 and 2025 those with a voice service from BT will be migrated onto the Digital Voice Service.
