Digital voice with a Unifi security gateway instead of a BT hub ?

Hi all

Can anyone advise me the best way to get this sorted.

Ive just upgraded with fibre coming into my property to an ONT.

I was told my original phone systems would still work.

Turns out that’s not correct, its all digital voice now.

So BT sent me out a digital voice phone along with an adapter for my original phones to plug into and allow them to work with digital voice.

The issue I have is, I have my Unifi security gateway plugged into the ONT thus making the BT hub not required.

Both digital voice phone and adaptor will only connect to the BT hub through the WPS signal button.

How can I get the digital voice phone and old phone adaptor to work with the USG or is this just not possible?

Many thanks for your help

Jimmy

Re: Digital voice with a Unifi security gateway instead of a BT hub ?

It is not possible.

Digital Voice is only possible with a SH2 connected to the ONT

The adapter is just a remote DECT to analogue converter that needs to connect to a SH2 via DECT.

If the gateway uses PSTN technology it could plug into the green pstn socket on rear of smart hub. (has a sticker over the socket from new)
