Just upgraded to full fibre , the deal came with digital voice phone with bt answering service. Question if I don't get to the phone in time the answering service cuts in with the message, when I pick the phone up the message still keeps playing. I do not want to delete the answer service but just stop the message when I take the call. Plenty on-line how to delete the service but cant find the answer to my question. Thanks

📢BT's Digital Voice service is BT Consumer's VoIP/Internet based fixed line voice service and is the replacement service to your current voice service you have today as the analogue PSTN phone network is closing by 2025. Between 2021 and 2025 those with a voice service from BT will be migrated onto the Digital Voice Service.

I cant find the bit that answers my question how to pause the answer phone in taking the call. maybe I'm reading it but cant understand it. To old for all this 75 years old

if you go to MYBT then products manage then digital voice you can extend the number of rings before 1571 answers call giving you more time to reach the phone
i suppose as phones are cordless you can carry it about with you if that helps
