Hi all
Number she's had since 1976, she's 75 and quite upset as is the rest of our family. Between moving from awful Vodafone to old Sky service, they somehow after 3 auto-cancellations lost her landline number. No comms even. She had to call them.
Can anyone advise as this was a BT line originally.
We're trying to put complaint in with Sky and Ofcom as shocking service from those companies. Constant dropping the ball and totally clueless. Ultimately I'd like to just give her her rightful number back.
Thank you

If the number was in use since 1975 then it will be a ‘BT’ number from BT number range ,simply because it predates any other provider , but unless you want BT to provide service and try and recover the number ( and that cannot be guaranteed ) then the issue isn’t really anything to do with BT, it may have once been BT that supplied the number , but once it’s ported out to another company , it’s not BT responsibly anymore
This is a BT retail forum, unless your mother is a BT retail customer , I'm afraid there is nothing anybody here can do.
