FTTP and Digital Voice Migration

Go to solution

I currently have FTTP and a copper line supplying my phone service.

I have extension wiring with 3 other devices connected.

I am being migrated to digital voice and want to use my existing extension wiring.

is this possible?

can I connect the back of the SH2 to the existing faceplate with a cable male/male connector lead and run my devices as currently setup?

I have attached a photo of my current master socket faceplate, do I need to disconnect my copper line? Is the faceplate compatible with what I want to do?

many thanks

This has been covered on forum before. Disconnect the incoming openreach wiring from terminals A&B then wire as you are suggested from socket on SH2 to phone socket in master and extension sockets should work. Not sure if you will get caller display working on all extensions. Just need to try and see
