We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
Just had a fake phone call saying our BT broadband was being cut off today - press 1 for this, press 2 for that so I pressed Block on our new BT phone (which incredibly doesn't say what model it is on this one! Perhaps it's on the other unit - too busy to check right now.)
Voice was mechanical / Canadian-American - but a first in my experience.
PS Forum has changed since last able to visit - if this is in the wrong section, will a kind Mod please move it? Thanks.
Today I received a phone call saying my internet was going to be disconnected as I had had an illegal user using my internet. The guy had an Indian accent - I have also had calls saying the same thing come a guy with an American/Canadian accent. Strange they didn't ask for any perasonal details - why are they doing this?
I too had this call today, And every Monday to Saturday in the last few weeks. It’s getting boring now, why can’t the authorities have the power to shut these nuisance callers down
you can block them if you have one of the latest phones. If not, I know someone who in these circumstances would get out his Acme Thunderers whistle, give it a long loud blast down the phone and then (in case the call was being recorded at their end) immediateley complain/ask why had they made a loud whistle noise down your phone.
It works a treat - I can guarantee it!!
Just had a similar call but automated voice from 01208 537735 (Bodmin number apparently). I hung up.
