We received a junk phone call from someone selling loft insulation. They hung up but we forgot to press end call on the handset. We noticed it 4 hours later and pressed end call.
Will we be charged for this or was the call terminated already because the caller hung up?

Assuming you are a BT Retail Customer, the call would be terminated shortly after the caller disconnects the call. As you did not originate the call, you would not be charged.
