How to stop someone listening in

Hi 

Qq , I have a BT digital cordless advanced phone z . When on a call how do I stop a third phone joining the call . I have nosey housemates who are intercepting my calls . Thanks !

Take the handset away from them.

Hi @Clareen84 Welcome to the community and thanks for posting. That's not very nice behaviour from your housemates. If you have more than one advanced phone Z  you can turn off the Auto join calls setting on the handsets which may help. Page 45 on the manual shows you how to do that. 

If it's another model of the phone connected to an extension socket there are no settings to stop someone else from lifting the phone and listening in.
