Hi @ianftzgrld,

Welcome to the BT Community

If you have both BT Call Protect and BT Voicemail together, when trying to remove them you will only have the option of removing both together or removing voicemail and keeping Call Protect.

You can however keep Voicemail and Call Protect active but just disable Call protect completely if you wanted by disabling the BT Blocklist, Personal Blocklist and individual call type block settings. We do recommend using Call Protect to help protect from spam/scam calls etc but you can disable it this way. You can do this in the Call protect settings accessed via your MYBT account.

That way Call Protect wont be active but your BT Voicemail still will be.

Thank you for clear response ....

My other question, which either BT won't answer or only part answer or their answer disappears and chat closes! ! ......

i)  They had said I must have a 'Calling Plan' to retain the Land Line > so fair enough I have PAYG  @ £3 a mth;  can I stop/cancel the Land Line, at some time soon, when I no longer need it ? BUT,  still retain   -

MY BROADBAND  and  EMAIL ADDRESS   ??

I hope you can also give a considered opinion to this question, and thank you again.

Yes, you don't have to have a Landline to have Broadband and email if you don't want one.

However, anecdotally it has been difficult for folks to remove the Landline component from their contract despite Broadband without a landline being a product for new customers.

Thank you for clarifying that.

Your anecdote doesn't surprise me ! !

I'll see how I get on in due course . . . . . 😊 📱
