New user trying to get Digital Phones to ring

Hello.

Just joined BT and received two HD Digital Phones. All connected to the hub ok. However, I can get a dial tone but no ringing from incoming calls.

Also have landline phones which I have disconnected but still no ringing from new ones.

Where am I going wrong?

If you make a call from your digital phone to your mobile phone, is it your home number displayed as the caller? You may not have your original number?
