Digital Voice landline stopped working shortly after installation

I've had it with BT. Landline was the only phone working in my house. It stopped to after digital voice. I have PTSD, live alone, registered disabled, vulnerable customer. I complained twice and BT closed complaint twice saying my phone works. I explained its inconsistent. It doesnt work today. I have had to buy an iphone to get a working phone. Furthermore the engineer walked all through my house into the carpeted bedroom area with his shoes on, did not offer to take shoes off.

do you have BT broadband and if so is your phone connected to the green socket on the back of the BT router?
