Not exactly - my number was a BT number (20 odd years with them), ported over to Plusnet for 6 years, I was told it would not be an issue to have it ported over when I returned to BT. This I was told by 4 different BT call staff. Finally I was told, it was not possible and I should never have been told it was. The reason was never explained.
