Second handset to go with BT Everday Phone with basic call blocking

We've just bought an "BT Everday Phone with basic call blocking" and have decided to get a second to have one upstairs.

Are the BT phones mix and match? Or do I need to buy an identical second handset?

Otherwise I'll just get the cheapest BT cordless handset I can see on Amazon.

To maintain all facilities on the phone, you need the identical additional handset. Any GAP compatible phone will work but likely only to make/receive calls.
