@CJT80 Well this is the problem. I think what BT have the property listed as, address wise, is not what we were sold the property as. So the phone number is the only thing that isnt up for debate. I was hoping that any info they needed would be governed by the only solid constant they have which is the landline number.
A landline check says we can have fibre, an address check using what I think BT have our address as says we can get it. However we live in a rural area with only 3 property on our line all very close to each other and the BT pole right outside our house. It's not showing that the other 2 property can get fibre and they are on the same pole.
My limited knowledge is that everything has to match up.
Out of interest what does Royal Mail Postcode Finder show for the address? (don't post the address) but does it match the address listed on the DSL Checker?
@CJT80Well the property as we know it simply isnt on royal mail postcode finder. The property which certain service providers think we are is listed on Royal mail but not in the same position as our home. What I would like answered by BT is what do they or openreach think our property is called as they have given us Broadband and a landline for 7 years. They dont seem to be able to tell me though.

Interesting, if it's NOT on a Royal Mail postcode finder, that maybe the issue with providing you with faster broadband... perhaps when BT originally provided a service things matched up at their end, and then things changed. Since you already had a service, they can continue to provide it.
Regarding the address perhaps the 1st stage is to make sure Royal Mail have the correct address going forwards, you can contact them to update your address here
Once that is done, and confirmed Royal Mail should have the 100% correct address, and then the Forum Admin team can make sure it's 100% correct on BT's Systems and you "should" assuming all is then correct, be able to get the service you now want.
@CJT80 No problem. Well..after sorting the gold address issue out the guys came to install FTTP the other day. They did all the necessary work, new cable and modem etc to then find that BT have me listed at a different CTB to the one right outside my house. So I'm left with all the gear to get working but looks likes it's not even connected/spliced to my property. To make matters worse I cant get any update from BT or Openreach so I'm a bit stuck at the moment.
Oh I see, so they have (to a degree) sorted the address issue out, but the routing seems to be wrong.
I assume you have spoken to the FTTP Team and are awaiting an update?
After 3 weeks of different stories every two days the latest one has been that my exchange hasn't been commissioned with the case manager in agreement that anything i have told prior to this info must have been lies, not even dressing them up to be mistakes. The relationship between BT and Openreach is ridiculous. For communications businesses the absolute lack of communication in this instance has been pathetic. So now i have to proceed with claiming for the damage to the property that the unnecessary fixing of cables/ont has left.
